Probability histogram stacked with invalid and valid number of patients (x-axis: probability predicted to be valid; y-axis: number of patients). ALT: alanine aminotransferase; AST: aspartate aminotransferase.
Accumulative results of valid participant identification for clinical trials (x-axis: number of predicted data; y-axis: number of valid data). ALT: alanine aminotransferase; AST: aspartate aminotransferase.

The x-axis of each graph represents the respective continuous variables, whereas the y-axis shows the HRs, indicating the impact of the variables on CVD occurrence. The solid line represents the estimated HRs and the dashed lines indicate the 95% CIs. The first column shows the relationship between the BMI and CVD risk.

While some might question the loss of human touch with these virtual agents, Park et al [13] demonstrated that chatbots created with humanlike characteristics and interaction styles can elicit cooperation and trust from users, boosting the effectiveness of mental health therapies. Bickmore et al [14] also showed that individuals could develop therapeutic bonds with chatbots just as well as with human therapists, and sometimes prefer them over humans [15].

Y-axis represents the probability a participant is classified as a carrier or noncarrier based on their mean response time. The blue line represents the binomial relationship between response time and carrier status with faster response time more associated with being a carrier and slower response time more associated with being a noncarrier. The gray ribbon represents the 95% CI of the estimated probability of binomial relationship. (B) Mean Super G time in target between female and male participants.
