Homestay Hosting Dynamics and Refugee Well-Being: Scoping Review
Homestay extends the realm of private hospitality by functioning beyond migration networks, engaging primarily citizens of the host country who initially have no personal relationship with the refugees [4]. Refugee homestays, therefore, offer tailored support that eases refugees into their new environment, with host families being instrumental in facilitating refugees’ adaptation to local practices and integration into local communities within a nurturing, family-like atmosphere [4,7].

Homestay Hosting Dynamics and Refugee Well-Being: Protocol for a Scoping Review
Hosting communities and their members often play a crucial role in extending hospitality and support to refugee women and their families to facilitate integration [5]. This culture of hospitality is also observed at the individual level notably within urban communities, where there is a rising trend of individuals and families hosting refugees in their private residences [6].
