Strengthening the One Health Approach in the Eastern Mediterranean Region
Another point discussed by the panel revolved around the importance of institutionalization and the governance toward effective operationalization of the One Health approach in the region. The FAO, OIE, WHO, and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) have advocated the new operational definition of One Health as recommended by their advisory panel, the One Health High Level Expert Panel (OHHLEP), on December 1, 2021 [19-21].
