Evaluation of an Occupational Exercise Training Program for Firefighters: Mixed Methods Pilot Study
Due to the firefighters’ irregular schedules, training occurred at least once, but usually twice weekly either at the nearest fire station (equipped with a small gym facility) or in the Human Performance Laboratory (a fitness and research facility in the division of exercise physiology) at West Virginia University. Four student interns trained 3 to 4 firefighters each.
