Perioperative patient education is acknowledged as a critical component of thoracic surgical recovery. Enhancing patients’ understanding of the general information of their disease, treatment plans, and recovery process has been shown to increase patient satisfaction, reduce undue anxiety, and increase their involvement in surgical recovery [9]. Until now, limited research has evaluated the use of Chat GPT for perioperative patient education in thoracic surgery.

Thoracic Surgery Information on the Internet: A Multilingual Quality Assessment

A comprehensive literature search regarding website information within the sphere of thoracic surgery was undertaken, yielding no studies that evaluate the quality of thoracic surgery-related information on the Internet. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the quality of current Internet information on thoracic surgery websites based on HON principles, and to compare differences between English, French, German, and Spanish language sites.
